Action Care Ambulance is proud to announce that we are under new ownership, effective August 27th, 2014! Morgan and Danielle Powell have purchased ACA and will oversee the continued excellence of care going forward. What this means for our colleagues and partners: business as usual, exciting opportunities and continued growth!

Action Care Ambulance is proud to serve our veterans! On Oct. 1, 2013 our company entered a partnership with the Denver VA Medical Center to provide medical transportation needs to our veterans, as well as meet the needs of the medical staff in providing superior medical care and supportive recovery process.

In January 2012, Action Care will be under the direction of Dr. Dylan Luyten of HealthONE. Dr. Luyten is the Medical Director for Emergency Medical Services at Swedish, as well as the recipient of the 2011 Dr. Valentin E. Wohlauer Award for Physician Excellence in EMS. In addition to his hard work and achievements at HealthONE EMS, Dr. Luyten has played a significant role in revising and rewriting the Denver Metro EMS Protocols.
Action Care’s EMS Liaison with Swedish will be Heidi Cabell. Heidi has been involved in EMS for 16 years in Colorado. She began her EMS career working for Ambulance Service Company in 1992. Heidi has 10 years experience teaching in EMS, and is also a field coordinator and educator for 7 of the EMS agencies that function under HealthONE EMS medical direction.

Action Care Ambulance teamed with St Anthony Hospital EMS to provide treatment and transport services for the 2011 National Western Stock Show. Over 600,000 people attended the stock show this year and it was very busy for the on-site EMS teams. Information on the stock show can be found here

Action Care Ambulance sponsored a holiday party for residents of the Cottonwood Community Alternatives program. Our employees helped put together stockings and gift packs for the residents and delivered them with the help of Santa. Action Care Ambulance was part of a multi-disciplinary team that provided medical care and transport for the 2010 Breast Cancer Walk. This 3-day event covered a large course throughout the Denver Metro area. Medical teams were scattered throughout the walk and Action Care provided round-the-clock transport coverage for the event.

Action Care Ambulance celebrated the 1 year anniversary of their partnership with Security Fire Protection District, providing dedicated 911 ambulance service to residents in the Security/Widefield area in El Paso County, CO

Action Care Ambulance celebrated their 10 year anniversary this month. A catered lunch was provided and several awards and acknowledgements were given out. Honorees included: Jake Eustrom, NREMT-B - Employee of the Year, Eric Paradis, NREMT-P - Most Improved, and Dena Levings, Director of Community Outreach/Marketing - Community Service

The residents of the Cottonwood Community Alternatives program visited Action Care headquarters and presented them with a painting that was done by the residents in appreciation of the recent holiday party.
