January 2007 - Action Care is proud to announce our employee award winners for 2006. These awards are voted on by the employees and were presented at our company meeting this month. Each employee received an engraved plaque and a cash award. Congratulations to these employees for their efforts and dedication. The following awards were presented:

  • Employee of the Year - Mark Freeman, Fleet Maintenance
  • Community Service Award - Judi Masters, Billing Specialist
  • Most Improved Employee - Rod Gano, EMT-B


  • January 2007 - Action Care was proud to partner with St. Anthony Hospital EMS to provide medical services for the 2007 National Western Stock Show. The show ran for 2 weeks in January and proved to be a very busy event with large crowds and many medical contacts made daily. The 16-day show is an annual event. Action Care wishes to thank all the employees and volunteers for their hard work and dedication.

    December 2006 - Action Care and it's employees teamed together to provide for the community and one of its own. Action Care employees collected food and clothing that was donated to the 9 Cares Colorado Shares program in early December. For the holidays Action Care adopted a family that was close to our hearts. Lonnie M. EMT, and his family adopted 4 children just prior to the holidays. Action Care and its employees partnered together to provide the new arrivals and Lonnie and his family with a very special holiday season.

    September 2006 - Action Care partnered with HealthOne/Swedish Medical Center to provide interfacility and discharge transportation for the hospital. Effective November 1st, Action Care will work closely with the staff at Swedish to arrange for transportation between facilities and to the patients home or care center after they are cared for at the hospital.     August 2006 - Action Care partnered with St. Anthony Hospital EMS to provide medical services for the 2006 Grand Prix of Denver. It was a very busy event with over 50,000 people in attendance. The 4-day race is an annual event for Action Care and St Anthony's. Action Care wishes to thank all the employees and volunteers for their hard work and dedication.

    June 2006 - Action Care is proud to announce their association with Firehouse Quilts of Colorado. This group of caring volunteers makes small snuggle quilts and donates them to area Fire Departments and EMS agencies for distribution to children during times of crisis.     June 2006 - Action Care provided medical support and sponsorship for the 24th annual Highlands Street Fair on June 17th. This fair draws over 35,000 visitors and is a highlight of the Highlands Square neighborhood. Please visit the Highlands Square web page by clicking here

    May 2006 - Action Care, along with their EMS and community partners, participated in the annual Summer Safety Fair and the Air Life Memorial event.

    The Summer Safety Fair was held at Sheridan Middle School on May 13th. 48 volunteers from Action Care, Sheridan Police & Fire, Littleton Hospital and Safe Kids Denver Metro assisted with the event. We had approximately 90 children attend the event this year. Action Care distributed 60 bike helmets and gave away two bicycles. In addition we collected $100.00 from the dunk tank with all the proceeds going to the Sheridan Police Dept. for the BASH held every year at the recreation center in Sheridan. Action Care accepted $100.00 in donations for bike helmets and contributed the funds to Safe Kids Denver Metro to help sponsor other child safety events.

    The Air Life Memorial event was held at Hudson Gardens on May 20th. The event honors all of our everyday EMS heroes and commemorates the AIRLIFE helicopter crash and related car accidents that occurred on December 14, 1997, in Littleton. EMS and community partners from throughout the Denver Metro area came together to honor our colleagues. There were events for the whole family and appearances by Rocky (Denver Nuggets), Wooly (Colorado Mammoth), and Rapid Man (Colorado Rapids). Hundreds of runners, friends, and family were present for this celebration. Action Care gave away 30 adult and child multi-sport helmets & kept the crowd cool with over 300 snowcones. Action Care was proud to be a presenting sponsor for this event.
    April 2006 - Action Care has joined with Medcor

    event management services to assist with special event cover and medical transport service for Coors Amphitheater this year. We are proud to be partnered with Medcor and look forward to another exciting season at the amphitheater.     March 2006 - Action Care employees hosted a BBQ for some local Denver FD firefighters. Paramedic Brian Schimpf, Paramedic Shaunna King and EMT Hilary Cassaly cooked a variety of burgers, brats, and dogs for firefighters from Denver Fire Department Stations 26 and 27. Although the weather was less than agreeable and the inevitable calls took personnel away the event was enjoyed by all. Action Care enjoys a strong working relationship with all of the area fire departments and we look forward to future events with our partners.     March 2006 - Action Care sponsored a very successful blood drive on Monday March 6th. Over 20 units of blood were donated by our employees and colleagues.   • December 2005 - Action Care Ambulance continued its annual tradition of adopting a family for the holiday season. This program, in conjunction with Arapahoe County, offers local companies a chance to help those in need during the holiday season. This years family was very happy to receive all of the gifts donated by the employees of Action Care. In addition to the family, employees also donated items to 2 senior citizens who are in skilled nursing facilites and do not have any family in the area. Action Care would like to thank all of those who extended a helping hand to those in need.

    October 2005 - Action Care Ambulance has partnered with Swedish Medical Center to provide transportation for patients at Swedish Southwest ER
    . Swedish opened its freestanding Emergency Room on October 10th. This ER is located at 6196 S Ammons Way in Southwest Denver. It is staffed 24/7/365 with staff members from Swedish Medical Center.

    May 2005 - Action Care and the City of Sheridan sponsored a Bike Rodeo for the citizens of Sheridan. Employees of Action Care, Sheridan Police & Fire Departments, and many volunteers helped to make this event a success. In addition to safety classes participants were provided with gift bags and many children received free bike helmets.

    March 2005 - Action Care sponsored a blood drive for Bonfils Blood Center. Over 15 employees contributed to this drive. Another drive is planned for later this year

    January 2005 - Action Care is proud to announce our employee award winners for 2004. These awards are voted on by the employees and were presented at our annual holiday party held on December 18. 2004. Each employee received an engraved plaque and a cash award. Congratulations to these employees for their efforts and dedication. The following awards were presented:

  • Most Improved Employee - Missy Enright, EMT-B, Comm.


  • December 24, 2004 - Action Care Ambulance and its employees came together to help out a family during the holiday season. Sabrina Robinson, Billing Specialist, helped to organize the drive and through the overwhelming generosity of the employees and the company a local family enjoyed a holiday season filled with gifts and joy. Employees volunteered their time to organize and deliver the gifts to the family. Tours of the ambulance were provided by Larissa Hutchison, EMT-P. Action Care would like to thank all of their employees for their contributions to this drive.

    July 15, 2004 - Action Care Ambulance is sponsoring a Bike Safety Rodeo on Saturday September 4th, 2004 at Isaac Newton Middle School located at 4001 E. Arapahoe Rd. in Littleton, CO. This event is free to all children from 1st to 8th grade. Children must be accompanied by a parent. The purpose of this event is to educate children & their parents on the proper use of safety equipment while biking, skateboarding, and roller blading. Events designed to enhance skills & coordination will take place throughout the day. Local bike shops will be on hand for inspections and minor adjustments. Free food and door prizes will be given away throughout the event including a new bike. Action Care employees in cooperation with Denver Metro SAFE KIDS have made significant contributions towards free bike helmets that will be given away that day to any child that does not have one. Action Care would like to thank their partners for this event including St Anthony's Pre-Hospital & Trauma Services, Bound Tree Medical, Stewart Body & Frame, and Peak Motor Coach. Action Care Ambulance and it's employees are committed to providing safety and education to our community.

    March 25, 2004 - Action Care Ambulance is proud to announce a new partnership with Correctional Healthcare Management, Inc. Action Care will be providing emergent and non-emergent care & transport for correctional facilities in the Denver Metro area. We look forward to this new partnership and are committed to providing expedient and professional care to their patients.

    August 15, 2003 - Action Care Ambulance has been selected to be the primary provider of back-up service for Sheridan Fire Rescue. Under the provisions of this agreement Action Care will provide primary 911 ambulance service when Sheridan's rescue is out on calls or otherwise unavailable. In addition, Action Care will co-respond on structure fires, hazardous material incidents, and other incidents requiring additonal EMS resources. Action Care is proud to have been selected to work closely with Sheridan and will provide professional care to its citizens.

    August 01, 2003 - Action Care Ambulance has been selected to be the primary transportation provider for the newly opened Sky Ridge Medical Center. Action Care will provide interfacilty transportation for patients being transferred from Sky Ridge to other facilities in Denver or to home. Action Care looks forward to providing professional and compassionate care to the patients at Sky Ridge.

    November 26, 2001 - Action Care Ambulance has been awarded the contract to provide ancillary ambulance service to the communities served by Littleton Fire Rescue. Under this unique public-private partnership, Action Care will work closely with Littleton Fire to provide ancillary and primary ambulance service to the citizens of Littleton, Greenwood Village, Highlands Ranch, and Jefferson County. Action Care was selected from among four companies who submitted a bid. Action Care stands ready to provide expedient and professional care for Littleton Fire Rescue and its citizens.
