January 2008 - Action Care is proud to announce our employee award winners for 2007. These awards are voted on by the employees and were presented at our company meeting this month. Each employee received an engraved plaque and a cash award. Congratulations to these employees for their efforts and dedication. The following awards were presented:

  • Employee of the Year - Kevin Gray, Mobile Supply Technician
  • Community Service Award - Matt McKennon, Paramedic
  • Most Improved Employee - Julie Gonzalez, EMT


  • January 2008 - Action Care partnered with St. Anthony Hospital EMS to provide medical treatment and transport services for the 2008 National Western Stock Show and Rodeo. This years event took place January 12th - 27th at the National Western Complex. The event had record attendance and the medical crews were kept very busy. Action Care wishes to thank all the employees and volunteers for their hard work and dedication.

    September 2007 - Action Care partnered with Highlands Behavioral Health System to provide emergent and
    non-emergent care and transportation for the patients at their Highlands Ranch facility. Action Care will work closely with the Highlands staff to provide care on scene and during transport to the hospital. Action Care is committed to providing expedient and professional care to their patients.

    September 2007 - Action Care participated in a multi-agency operation that moved over 100 patients from the old Childrens Hospital in Denver to their new state-of-the-art facility in Aurora. Action Care provided 8 ambulances & 18 staff members as part of the operation. The multi-agency operation involved staff from Action Care Ambulance, Childrens Hospital, St Anthony's Flight for Life, Childrens Mercy Hospital of Kansas City, Arkansas Childrens Hospital, and American Medical Response. The patients were moved without incident in less than 12 hours.

    June 2007 - Action Care partnered with Littleton, Porter, & Parker Adventist Hospitals to provide interfacility and discharge transportation for their patients. Effective June 1st, Action Care will work closely with the staff at these hospitals to arrange for transportation between facilities and to the patients home or care center after they are cared for at the hospital. Transportation responsibilities will be shared with Rural/Metro Ambulance & Columbine Ambulance

    April 2007 - A former Action Care employee was recently hired as the new EMS Coordinator for Childrens Hospital. Jen Falkenburg worked as an EMT and Dispatcher for Action Care before going to St Anthony's Flight for Life program and then on to Childrens. Jen is busy organizing some new and exciting Continuing Education events, teaching classes, and working in the Emergency Department at Childrens. We wish Jen good luck in her new position.     April 2007 - Action Care partnered with KUSA Channel 9 to provide medical volunteers and on-site medical coverage for several 9 Health Fair sites. This annual event ran for 10 days in April and proved to be very busy with large crowds. Action Care wishes to thank all the employees and volunteers for their hard work and dedication.
